Why Herd Club
I’m a proud Arkansan who loves local food and fun: the spots with real owners and real personality. Years ago (before being a full-time entrepreneur), I worked on the national sales team for one of the largest food delivery apps as they expanded across Arkansas and the entire country. I saw firsthand how tech helped restaurants…and how it started to hurt them. I had a front-row seat behind the scenes to see how the numbers really work. Many apps have moved to high commissions that push owners to raise prices or give up a big chunk of every order.
Through my company, VanTech, I’ve also helped local businesses of all kinds market themselves, so I know what it really costs to win a new customer. It’s always hard to watch a great place struggle or close because people simply never heard about it or weren’t drawn in.
So I built Herd Club to do it better, and to make it fun. We never take a cut of a restaurant’s sales. Members get real savings and a reason to try somewhere new, or rediscover an old favorite. Local spots get new faces who come back and bring their friends. And it finally answers the age-old question: “Where should we eat tonight?”

Founding members get their first year for $79 (regularly $99), plus a bonus credit in each of their first 3 months. Founding spots are limited to 500 annual members. That’s 27 credits in year one, each worth $10–$30, plus everyday perks and members-only Drops. Then it’s $99/year, and you can cancel the renewal anytime.
You get two credits a month, each worth $10–$30 depending on the spot. Unused credits roll over, up to four. Each spot sets how often you can use a credit there, usually once every few months, so there’s always somewhere new to try. Perks work every visit.
Food at every spot, and activities like arcade play at spots that offer them. Credits don’t cover alcohol. One credit per member per visit, and it can’t be combined with other discounts. We ask members to tip on the full bill.
Always-on member perks at everyday spots like coffee shops, bakeries, and sandwich shops. Show your pass to get the perk every visit. Perks don’t use your credits, and they never cover alcohol.
Surprise bonus deals from local spots with open tables, like $10 off dinner tonight or extra arcade play this afternoon. You’ll get an alert on your phone, and the first members to claim it get the spots. Drops don’t use your credits, they work even at places you’ve visited recently, and you choose which areas and types of alerts you get.
Popular spots have a monthly limit. If one fills up, join its priority list in the app. When next month’s spots open, you’ll get an alert and a head start to pick it before everyone else.
